From upside down the world looked clearer
Things made more sense
A new perspective which I needed
But didn’t even know I needed
Fresh energy breathing life back into my lifeless heart
Feeling like I can do this and make a new start
Digging down deep to find the courage
Telling fear is has no control here
I know fear will always be there
One step behind the domino of self destruction
But as long as I keep moving forward
Action builds momentum
And I stand a better chance to stay ahead of the fear
Not over thinking, over doubting, over planning
Just doing
Calling on my courage to lead me to this next chapter
Tired of rereading these old worn out pages
They have nothing new to say
Life is about experiences and taking chances
Not the comfort of familiarity slowly dying
How can I fear when I’m excited to see what’s next
Writing new pages full of love and hope and life
That’s what it’s all about
Forgiving the pain and hurt
Leaving the anger behind
Finding freedom in a fresh new start
Even if life seems upside down for a little while
Who says that’s not the better perspective?
Jumping in, choosing me
A better life is waiting, just watch and see
