It was a magical sort of day that started with peace, and stillness
Up before the sun, everything was untouched from it’s nightly slumber
My breath hung in the air
Cool mist droplets clung to the particles
Making them last longer than they otherwise would have
In the distance I hear the first bird song
Starting its morning mission to wake the sun
Others join in, beckoning the light
I sit and watch the world before me come to life
I feel the stillness deep in my bones
Despite the efforts to call me into the chaos
A wave of energy washes over the scene before me
The water never ceased crashing on the shore
It is the constant in the calamity of life
Sometimes it’s still like glass
Others the splashes crash over the road
Most times it’s somewhere in the middle
Safe for swimming and for my dog to catch the waves in his mouth as he splashes about
As the sun breaks the horizon and fills every corner around me with light
I take a deep breath in of it’s energizing rays
And I know it’ll be another one of those lovely days
