One step at a time I made my way forward
Sometimes two steps back but always movement
Movement builds momentum and more than anything
I wanted to move on from the drama and darkness

Yes, there were so many blessings
They were the steps forward I’m so grateful for
Kindness love caring humanity
Holding on to moments of hope for humanity
The sparks of love that illuminate the way
When the hole you’ve fallen into feels too dark and deep

One step at a time, don’t think too far ahead
You don’t need to solve all the problems at once
Just one small action, and then another
One day you’ll look back at the mountain you thought was impassable, having made it through

One step at a time is challenging
When you just want to be on the other side now
Dancing in the uncertainty of the chaos
Giving rhythm to the ruckus
Creating calm inside to still the world around you

You are the sky, everything else is just the weather
Let it come, let it go, let it pass on through. like waves on the shore

Somehow, some HOW it’ll all work itself out
In hindsight you’ll see the reason
For now try to find joy in the ride
