I would like off this roller coaster
I never was a fan
The creaky rattle cars
Are simply breaking my mind
I really would prefer
A ride down the lazy river
Calm and peaceful, and a bit more predictable
I’m not an adrenaline junkie
I’d rather know what’s in store
Tranquil paths lead to tranquil minds
Healthier bodies too
Maybe less effective poetry and prose
But really I could live with that
A trade off for more peace
I’d switch to writing flowery descriptions
If it meant a better sleep at night
I can’t do more of this up and down
I’d much prefer the smooth countryside
I like watching the waves in the ocean
Not being right in the middle of them
So please, before I drown
Can we calm this stormy sea
And find some peace and calm inside of me
