When I stepped forward and took the leap, I struggled
My own worst enemy
Fighting my own thoughts
Knocked down and tired
I paused
When I got back up again
I stepped forward again
More confident in myself, my vision
I took the leap
And realized it’s only scary the first time
The new and uncertain
Can be exciting or scary
Depending on your perspective
I choose to be excited about life
And all the possibilities
Confident that if I’m knocked down again
I can get back up quicker
and maybe not fall so far down
