This piece was inspired by a photo prompt from Liz Homes in the creative writing community I manage on Facebook. We’d love to have you join if you’re interested. I’m also posting the daily prompts there
If you follow, down around the stream
Past the old birch tree
And around the windy bridge
You’ll see her tucked away
Hidden if you arent looking for her
In a small fairy house
In the corner of the woods
You’ll need to sneak up on her
Or she’ll hear you coming and run away even longer
Illusive and frustrating at times
Yet when you can connect
And meet on mutual terms
You’ll conspire with one of the most creative muses there is
And when you find her…
Tell her I’ve been ~impatiently~ awaiting her return
