The way the rain fell on the window
Mirrored the tears falling from my eyes
Today I let them fall
Not caring enough to wipe them away
The rain poured down the glass in front of me
Blurring my reflection
Mother nature cleansing herself of pain
She taught me how
When the pain is too immense to hold inside
It leaks out
Sometimes breaking open the flood gates
Sometimes only a slow trickle
I let the tears form a small pool on the window sill below me
Between where I leant my elbows
Water cleansing myself, and the earth
Feels never ending
Although I need to have faith one day it will be done
That the floodgates will stop
And I’ll be okay
Because without that hope
What is there left to say
