As the sun ignites the water
The lake is lit on fire in hues of red, orange, yellow, and purple
The sun dances on the waves making them sparkle and shimmer
As it dips further down into the horizon for another day
The days grow shorter now
But the sun’s promise to always rise and shine for another day
Always remains
She does her waltz with the moon
Trading places for the night
Trusting her world to the moons guiding light
Caretakers of our home
They each give their gifts
Protecting us and providing
Sustaining life as we know it
As the sun dances with the water each day
The moon shares its time at night
The synergistic dance is the momentum we can tap into
To create a life beyond our wildest dreams
Filling ourselves with the light of these bodies
Their gifts are ours to gratefully use
To make life better for man plant and animal alike
